Alex Turner is a British musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter of indie band Arctic Monkeys. He is also the co-frontman of supergroup The Last Shadow Puppets, with Miles Kane.

Alex is the son of Penelope and David Turner, who taught German and music, respectively, at Sheffield secondary schools.

Alex’s maternal grandfather was Clifford Eric Moreton Druce (the son of Joseph T. Druce and Rosa B. Moreton).

Alex’s maternal grandmother was named Marjorie J. Withers.
